Be Prepared

Preparation is a key to success!

I remember the motto as a Girl Scout, 'Be Prepared'. This was more a state of your mind than physical preparedness but both are important. In the business world, one of the keys of networking as an entrepreneur is to always be prepared to share information about your business. When hunting for a job, the HR experts encourage potential applicants to 'be prepared' with resume ready. If you are in sales, you must be ready to present the fine selling points of your product and service so have your "elevator speech" ready to go! Basically, you cannot be ill-prepared for such tasks.

There is a quote, often used in the althletic world: "When the student is ready, the teacher appears".  Oftentimes, we are "caught off guard" when something that we have been seeking, praying and inquiring about appears before us, either through a person or organization. We have to believe in the good of our prayers; that they shall come to pass and prepare ourselves for it. When we pray, we should act like the answers to our prayers are going to spring forth.

So, I encourage you this week to discipline yourself to be ready in mind and spirit to step up to the plate and rise to the occasion when the opportunity presents itself. You can do it!

Shine On,

Frenetta
